The BC Aboriginal Child Care Society (BCACCS) was established in 1996 to administer the BC share of the federal government’s First Nations/Inuit Child Care Initiative.  BCACCS incorporated as a non-profit society in 1998 and obtained charitable tax status in 2000.  Through research, education, sharing of knowledge and advocacy, BCACCS works to support Indigenous children and help build the social fabric of Indigenous families and communities.  BCACCS helps Indigenous communities develop high quality, integrated, community child care services and provides resources that are based in the children’s culture, language and history in order to support healthy growth and development among our children.

The Early Childhood Educators of BC (ECEBC) advances early childhood education and educators in the province of British Columbia. ECEBC provides professional development opportunities, training, and resources for early childhood educators across the province and support early childhood educators to inform the broader community about their work.  ECEBC are dedicated to building respect for early childhood education and educators, and committed to working in ECE toward reconciliation with Indigenous peoples as we live and work in their territories.
